Thermoplastic polyamide elastomer (TPAE) is a block copolymer based on polyamide and ether compounds or polyamide and ester compounds. In polymer chains, polyamides (such as PA6) represent the hard phase, while ether or ester compounds represent the soft phase, used for elastic properties. TPAE forms a subgroup of thermoplastic elastomers.
TPAE is based on polyamide, which exhibits good strength and durability, as well as good resistance at high temperatures. These characteristics pre determine the use of TPAE in technological applications, such as medium conveying lines or sports equipment such as sports shoes and ski boots.
Like other groups of thermoplastic elastomers, TPAE can be processed through injection molding and extrusion.
In recent years, Sungalon TPE has mainly engaged in the development and production of TPS and TPV products. Currently, Sungalon TPE does not offer TPAE products.
